Brian is a veteran lobbyist who is well-versed in legislative issues and processes. His deep relationships and experience have delivered wins for clients in the areas of education, public safety, workforce development and general business interests.

Brian has been a key advocate in successfully lobbying for the expansion of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program and the interests of charter schools and hybrid learning.

Brian served Govs. Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker as the director of legislative and public affairs for the Department of Labor and Industry, acting as the primary lobbyist, and he was a member of the political staff of Gov. Ridge’s reelection campaign. Additionally, Brian volunteered for the presidential campaign of George W. Bush. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

Alyson held several positions before joining the firm. In her most recent position, she served as the digital media strategist/operations specialist for a Catholic Community Services agency, Nativity House in Tacoma, Washington. Alyson graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, a minor in marketing and a concentration in writing studies.

Before joining Bravo Research, Rami held the position of vice president of market research at a Pittsburgh-based firm. He oversaw a team of researchers and conducted primary market research for health care, education and energy clients. Rami is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, having earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and rhetoric.

Previously, Chris served as a U.S. congressional aide, as an executive director for the Republican Party of Pennsylvania and as a top aide to Gov. Tom Ridge. Chris serves on the corporate board of Universal Companies and the boards of Philadelphia School Partnership, Children's Scholarship Foundation and Bravo Foundation.

He is a graduate of American University with a double major, print journalism and political science, with a concentration in marketing.

Chris joined the firm after a long career in public policy, advocacy and political campaigns. Most recently, he served in Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley’s office as communications director/deputy chief of staff.

Formerly, as Verizon Pennsylvania’s director of external affairs for central Pennsylvania, Chris improved the firm’s position and expanded its programs in a 22-county region. A veteran of organizing campaigns and advocacy efforts, Chris served as the southeast Pennsylvania/Lehigh Valley field director for the 2004 Bush-Cheney reelection effort and as campaign director for the New Mexico Restaurant Association.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master’s in American history from the College of Charleston/The Citadel.

Michelle has had a communications career diverse in job titles and locations. She has experience as a media planner/buyer in Louisville, Kentucky, as an advertising manager for a company in Winfield, West Virginia, and as a media director for a firm in Richmond, Virginia. She has managed small, focused media efforts as well as multimillion-dollar national retail accounts.

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communications from Marshall University and her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University.

Sean began his career as a reporter, working for several newspapers before spending five years in the Pennsylvania Capitol Newsroom, where he covered state issues and politics. Sean served for nearly eight years as the press secretary for two Pennsylvania attorneys general. He handled all major media issues for the office, including several criminal, consumer protection, antitrust and charitable trust cases.

Following government service, Sean worked for four years as a public relations and government affairs consultant in Harrisburg, focusing on law enforcement and legal issues. Sean is a graduate of Wilkes University.

Before that, she was an associate vice president at the Tierney Group, providing crisis communications and issues management counseling along with strategic communications and corporate communications for many clients.

Patellen began her career with Fleishman Hillard in Washington, D.C., implementing public relations strategies for clients. She has a B.A. in English literature from the Catholic University of America.

Before joining Bravo Group, Matt held the title of coordinator for the nationally acclaimed Keystone Opportunity Zone program. He worked closely with other participating state agencies to develop and execute the program. He served as the department’s program liaison to localities, business leaders and individual taxpayers throughout the commonwealth.

Matt is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Pennsylvania State University.

Before joining Bravo Group, Megan served as Pennsylvania advocacy director for the American Heart Association. She represented AHA to the state Legislature, public policy coalitions and partner organizations to generate awareness and support of AHA’s advocacy issues. She worked with volunteers and staff to develop grassroots support for federal and state policy priorities and pursued policy and environmental change.

Megan is a member of the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society. She has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Dickinson College.

Earlier in her career, Kelley worked for Ketchum Public Relations, Burson-Marsteller and Brabender Cox. She went on to found and manage KDenny and Partners Public Relations and co-found Prwerks Public Relations. Kelley worked as a congressional press secretary and served as a communications field adviser for the Republican National Committee and the Committee to Reelect George H.W. Bush for president.

Kelley graduated from The State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and political science.

As a registered lobbyist in Pennsylvania, Kate advocated for IA&B’s legislative agenda, managed its political action committee, organized its legislative conference and provided member and media outreach.

Before her work in the insurance field, Kate worked with the successful Mike Kelly for Congress campaign. She also spent time with the U.S. Secret Service, accompanying agents to hearings and speaking events, performing administrative tasks and expertly handling highly sensitive information. Jessica is a political veteran with two decades of experience serving in senior roles with state and national campaigns and party committees. Her leadership positions include serving as national political director for Marco Rubio for President, regional political director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, senior vice president of FP1 Strategies, and deputy operations director of Romney for President.

Jessica was a regional political director at the Republican National Committee for three years, managing turnout operations in battleground races and working with campaign staff and party leaders in 14 states across the Southeast. She also served as deputy political director during the 2008 presidential cycle.

In her home state of North Carolina, Jessica was the statewide victory director for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004, managed congressional and gubernatorial campaigns and spent several years as finance director of the Republican Party. Jessica is a recipient of the 2015 Maverick PAC’s Future 40 Award as well as the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Department of Political Science at East Carolina University.

Her early career was spent as a staff writer for The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, UPI and suburban Pittsburgh weeklies. Yvonne spent a decade working for the Legislature, beginning as a writer/editor and eventually serving as director of the PR office for the Democratic Caucus of the House of Representatives.

Yvonne tackled international work with the Cromer Group and the U.S. Agency for International Development, writing for Serbian officials and companies during their transition to a democracy and market economy. She graduated from Point Park College in Pittsburgh.

Amanda has deep experience in managing and implementing communications strategy and creative work, having served as vice president of brand communications at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. She led an award-winning team, bringing the brand voice to life. Her editorial experience at several national publications also shaped her creative eye and understanding of what makes copy sing.

She earned degrees in English and media arts and design with a journalism concentration from James Madison University, where she received the JMU Media Arts and Design Print Journalism Student of the Year award.

Most recently, as director of marketing for the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, Abby developed and implemented operational processes and strategy.

Abby is active in the community, serving on the regional council for Make-A-Wish and providing support for local economic development programs and fundraisers. Abby earned her Bachelor of Arts in communication with a concentration in public relations and minor in business administration from Messiah College.

Most recently, Claudia was the executive assistant to the managing directors and account administrator at TGS Financial.

She began her career in the state Senate as executive director of the Public Health and Welfare Committee, and she served as director of the Office of Legislative Affairs in the Department of Public Welfare, spearheading passage of legislation related to welfare, Medicaid and child support

Anne also served as deputy secretary of legislative affairs in the office of Gov. Tom Ridge, where she supervised legislative liaisons for 12 executive agencies. She has worked as a government affairs consultant for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. Eric brings a photojournalist’s eye to our strategic media relations programs, managing communications among organizations, client teams and diverse media outlets. He was previously a photojournalist with WHTM-TV abc27 in Harrisburg. When he left the station, he was the senior photojournalist.

Eric earned a Pennsylvania Associated Press Award, a Radio Television Digital News Association Edward R. Murrow Regional Award and a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award under the categories of photographer, outstanding news feature and outstanding general news. He was nominated for 19 Emmys from 2009 to 2014.

Eric is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in communications/journalism.

He joined the firm after serving as director of communications for the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development.

Steven became familiar with the media strategy associated with the energy industry in his previous role as the Department of Community & Economic Development's press secretary. Steven honed his advocacy and community relations skills on the campaign and political trail. He coordinated Tom Corbett's campaign efforts in southeastern Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley and worked on other campaigns.

His journalistic experience makes him an insightful editor ready to capture and convey each client’s unique voice. Michael’s role has him collaborating with writers, designers and client teams to develop strategic messaging and oversee the development of traditional and digital content pieces.

Michael brings a strong journalistic background to the firm, including several years as features editor for the Lebanon Daily News, where he coached a team of reporters and strategized content creation through multiple platforms. His reporting has taken him across Pennsylvania and out of state, with additional editorial experience for publications in New York and Oregon.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Communication from Clarion University.

Kelly plays an essential role in keeping our teams running smoothly, making sure all operations are highly organized and strategically effective. Kelly coordinates and manages client campaign efforts and serves as a liaison between client leads and client teams to enhance structured communication. She is the center point of all of the essential components working to bring our clients closer to the win.

Kelly joined the firm from the American Heart Association, where she provided strategy and fundraising development in addition to serving as a development training leader for field staff. She previously served for more than 10 years as an AHA youth market director, building relationships with school district contacts, overseeing recruitment strategies and raising more than $6 million toward the AHA mission.

Kelly's diverse experience includes time as an account executive for a creative marketing firm, in addition to experience in the health care field as a corporate communications specialist for Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and Jefferson Hospital. Kelly earned her degree in journalism from Penn State University, where she also completed a minor in French.

Sophia supports our communications team as administrative assistant. Based in our Harrisburg office, she assists with technological, administrative and accounting support.

Before joining us, Sophia provided administrative support to the director of student affairs at Penn State University Harrisburg.

Previously, she was a fiscal technician for the Dauphin County government, working with providers and the administration and maintaining records of transactions, accounts and fiscal data entry.

A talented communicator, Ivana is involved in the development and implementation of public relations, public affairs and digital strategies for our energy and life sciences clients. Through political participation in local, state and federal races in southeastern Pennsylvania, Ivana has cultivated the campaign mindset that is deeply embedded in the firm's approach.

Before joining Bravo Group, she took on multiple roles with Pat Meehan for Congress and was responsible for communications, grassroots and fundraising actions. Ivana also stood in the trenches with the Tom McGarrigle for Senate campaign, which won the most highly contested state Senate race in 2014 through rigorous community mobilization and advocacy.

Previously, Ivana worked as a nonprofit advocate for LIFT Communities. She has spent time in Madagascar, where she conducted an intensive study of the country’s political and socioeconomic landscapes.
Ivana is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.

As a member of the creative team, Jill uses her skill and knack for design to develop compelling, complex visual content pieces. She designs infographics, brochures and advertising content, develops creative copy to align with clients’ messaging and assists in project management. In a previous role with the firm, Jill assisted with research and design for clients in the health care, energy and education sectors.

Before joining us, Jill held positions with JM Images Photography, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, Nak You Out and the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, where she assisted in visual design, writing and social media.

Jill graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in public relations and a minor in film and media studies.

Dawn supports the president of our government relations practice, as well as the rest of the GR team, in a variety of capacities, including scheduling, travel assistance and operations. She manages Bravo Group special events and assists with a wide range of clerical duties for Bravo Foundation.

Dawn interacts with clients, legislative personnel, internal staff and others in her day-to-day duties.

Before joining us, she served in a number of increasingly senior positions at Residential Warranty Corp. Dawn worked in membership renewal and served as a warranty adviser.
