Megan Madsen
Chief Officer
My career spans leadership roles across government press offices, national associations, and at one of the country’s largest independent advertising agencies. I’ve always gravitated toward complex challenges that create meaningful change, from shaping Pennsylvania’s first anti-tobacco marketing campaign to leading efforts that earned a North American Effie and a 4A’s Jay Chiat Strategy Award, ultimately driving change in federal lung cancer policy.
I’m at my best guiding organizations through transformation, solving difficult problems and turning strategy into measurable impact. That commitment extends to my community: I was a founding board member of RedGEN, a Milwaukee youth resiliency organization, and now serve in the same role for Dauphin County CASA, advocating for children in foster care.

- Professional project I'm most proud of
Creating and standing up the Pennie brand, in the midst of a pandemic. Fast forward and it is featured on "The Pitt!" A government brand!
- Fun fact
In another life—or perhaps a former one—I was definitely a super spy. I’m fascinated by all things espionage and remain convinced I missed my calling for a life of cloak-and-dagger intrigue. And there may be some family DNA at work: one grandfather was a detective and the other served in military intelligence during WWII. Communications was apparently the safer career choice.
- What do I do when I'm not working
I'm traveling (day trip, long vacation, and everything in between) and it usually includes finding amazing restaurants, or I'm spending time with my family and dogs (Tater and Spud).
- First job or summer job
Manning the local YMCA front desk
